Happy Thanksgiving!

Gobble, his brother Gobble and his other brother Gobble.
I am thankful for my amazing husband and my three wonderful sons, for my family and friends, and for the fact that I only had to make 3 of these!  They are super cute, but holding on each candy corn individually until it sets was not what I was in the mood for at 11pm the other night.  But my little turkeys will be very excited to have them for Thanksgiving dessert!

More turkey love...
Caramel candy corn was a hot commodity at my house this year
Just sprinkles
I usually keep rolling out the dough past this point to make as many cookies
as possible, but I got lazy and just shoved the whole thing in the oven.
A delicious post-baking snack!  :)

Breaking Dawn...

For all you diehard Twilight lovers out there.  Especially you, Ashley - Happy Birthday!)
Yes, I am in my 30s and yes, I read and enjoyed the Twilight books earlier this year. Seriously, all of my mom friends raved about them and they were very entertaining!  Who knew that vampires and werewolves fighting over a surly girl up in the rainy woods of Forks, Washington could be so addicting?
Okay, so Edward, Jacob and Bella each needed their own special pop.  Edward got a drop of blood (umm, vampire, you know), Jacob got a werewolfy brown sprinkle coat and Bella got a crescent shaped scar that is cool to the touch and sparkles in the sun, a lingering reminder of her brush with death at the hand of bad vampire James.  Yes, I know it sounds dumb.

Oh, and Bella's is chocolate cake, throwing in a little of the star-crossed lover story and giving Jacob a little shout out.  (that's for you, Carolina!) :)
A box full of Twilight!
Any requests for Carlisle or Alice pops?  Chief Swan pops?  Maybe next time!  :)
